Magpie Leisure Park is easily found with direct access from the A386 Plymouth-Tavistock road, less than 3 miles from Tavistock.

Magpie is ideally placed for a Dartmoor Country Holiday. There are many varied and interesting walks from the Park. Fishing is available in the River Walkham, horse-riding nearby and 2 Golf courses just 2 miles drive away-plenty to see and do.

Plymouth is half an hour's drive south, mostly across the heather and gorse of Roborough Down, the city's large and very beutiful back garden. In the other direction, a few miles away is Tavistock, whilst one of the treasures of West Dartmoor also boasts "Meadowlands" with its leisure pool.

Nearby, there are other historic Devonshire villages and hamlets with names such as Sampford Spiney, Buckland Monachorum and Milton Combe where ancient churches and bridges and a variety of pibs and tea rooms can be found.
