An Overview

There is a choice of 4 Scandinavian wooden lodges to choose from when you stay at Dartmoor Country Holidays, accommodating from 2 to 7 persons. All lodges are constructed and finished to a high standard and were designed personally by the Bidder family to meet the needs of families and couples.

On one side of the park lie the Cedar and Cedar Plus lodges, overlooking the River Walkham and neighbouring fields, which can accommodate 4 and 6 persons respectively. Just across the park lie 2 genuine Finnish log houses nestling into the bank and trees, namely the Pine and IKI lodges. Pine accommodates 2 persons, ideal for a couple, with IKI accommodating 7 persons so that all the family and even the grandparents can holiday together.

All our lodges are purpose-built and are carefully sited on the Park to blend
with the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Being a family run business we are keen to keep our prices competitive and to encourage our customers to return year after year. Weekly rates start from as little as £135 for a one bedroom lodge and just £185 for a four bedroom lodge.

Internally the care and attention to detail is reflected in the high specification which includes:

• Co-ordinated fully-fitted carpets, curtains and furniture.

• Fully-fitted kitchen with electric oven and hob unit, extractor fan, microwave oven, dishwasher and refrigerator.

• All crockery and utensils are provided including electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker, a range of spices etc., and a ‘Welcome Pack’ of essentials like milk, tea, coffee and biscuits is provided.
Holidaymakers will also find the comprehensive guides to Walks and other attractions in the area of particular use.

• Heating is provided by thermostatic time controlled electric fires and panel heaters. All windows are either double or triple glazed.

• Colour television and video.

• Fully-fitted bathroom with instant electric shower.

• All bedrooms are complete with cupboards and/or wardrobes and chests of drawers.

• All quality bed-linen, duvets, towels and tea towels are provided. Cots and high chairs can also be provided upon advanced request
